Moving from India to Denver: community and first steps
Start with the places you need to reach, the activities you want to join and the questions you need answered before choosing a home. Use this checklist to organize a move from India without deciding everything from a property listing.
Plan the first journey
RTD lists the A Line between Denver Airport Station and Union Station. Use its official airport page for schedules, then plan the remaining journey to your accommodation. Save the destination address and an alternative arrival arrangement before you travel.
Check the whole route
Compare transfers, luggage handling and the walk at the destination. Check RTD service alerts again on your travel day.

Find connections that fit your interests
These are starting points for your own research. Choose by the activities or language you want to explore. Contact the organizer about participation and current arrangements before making plans.
Colorado Telugu Association
The association describes its purpose as preserving and celebrating Telugu language, culture and traditions. Its official site has an Events section and contact details. Ask about the activity you are interested in.
Hindu Temple and Cultural Center of the Rockies
This temple is in Centennial. Its website links to a calendar and spiritual and cultural programs. If those activities interest you, check the organizer's current information before visiting.

Use the library as a starting point
Denver Public Library describes Plaza activities including English practice and computer help. Its newcomer guide says you do not need a library card to attend Plaza. The Plaza page links to events and resources around Denver.
Make a short list of what would help your household first. That might be language practice, computer help or finding a local service. Use the library's links to identify the next conversation, rather than trying to collect every resource at once.
Open Plaza resources
Check the current program and event information for the location you want to visit.

Turn your daily routine into a home brief
Build the home search around destinations and requirements you choose. Write down work locations, regular activities, accessibility needs, space requirements and the monthly housing budget you want to discuss. Keep cultural activities as places you may visit, not a rule about where you should live.
Before a viewing
Give the agent a short list of essentials and compromises. For each address, compare the same destinations and check transit for the time you would actually travel.
Before a financing conversation
CFPB recommends reviewing your finances, credit and application paperwork before shopping. Ask the lender which documents it needs for your circumstances and how to provide them securely.
Discuss your move
Bring your dates, chosen destinations and open home-search questions to a relocation conversation.
